BITO CAMPUS sees itself as the initiator of an entire ecosystem. This ecosystem connects BITO Storage Systems, start-ups from all over the world and regional research institutions as well as medium-sized companies and aims to create a regional innovation scene. In funded projects, BITO CAMPUS works together with science, business and civil society and focuses on regionally existing potential. With the motto "Together instead of silo", the aim is to create a regional innovation ecosystem characterized by application-oriented research, sustainable business models and an open innovation culture.
EXAMPLE: Arbeit SooNahe
The BITO CAMPUS is part of the project "Future-oriented work design in the Hunsrück and Naheland region" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). – Arbeit SooNahe“.
This project aims to develop, test and share innovative and sustainable forms of work organisation. It focuses on organisational conditions that promote innovation, employee satisfaction and employer attractiveness. BITO CAMPUS is being funded with around 130,000 €. Together with the regional companies Schneider Bau, Hevert-Arzneimittel, Wagner Technik, Leisenheimer Malerwerkstätten and the Institute for Technology and Work (ITA), the following fields of action are addressed:

- Human resources development
The companies benefit from close cooperation, occupational science support for the implementation measures by the ITA and a label to communicate a modern, certified work design. In order to involve all employees in the innovation process from the very beginning, we would be very pleased to receive ideas and support from you.
At our PROCEED event, established SMEs from our region, network partners and interested start-ups introduce themselves to each other. There will be plenty of opportunities for exchange: speed matching, workshops, fireside talks and the highlight: the PROCEED award for the best startup! The event is rounded off with food trucks, ice cream van, cocktail bar and much more. And top-class keynote speakers such as Felix Thoenessen and Matthew Mockridge will also participate.
